Pooya Gharb Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced, ACSR, consists of several wires of 1350-H19 aluminum concentrically stranded around a galvanized steel core of 1,7,19 or more wires.

Features

By changing the relative proportions of aluminum and steel, the ideal conductor for any particular application can be produced. Thus, if a high tensile strength conductor is required, the number of steel wires can be increased whereas, when a conductor with high current capacity and comparably low strength is required, number of aluminum wires is increased.

ACSR is recognized for its dependability and favorable strength to weight ratio resulting in good conductivity combined with high tensile strength, less sag and larger span runs without having to revert to excessive mechanical stress or heavy metallic towers.

Applications

Aluminum conductor steel reinforced cables have been widely used for bare overhead transmission and distribution lines of medium, high and very high voltages for short or long distances.

Pooya Gharb ACSR meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM B230, B232, B498, and B500 or other related international specifications.
